Tali

Erythrophleum ivorense / suaveolens

Tali is one of the most prized heavy hardwoods from Central Africa. Known for its exceptional durability and natural resistance to decay, fungi, and insects, it is widely used in heavy structural applications, marine works, and industrial flooring. Its striking orange-red to dark brown heartwood makes it visually distinctive.

Okan is one of the densest and most durable hardwoods in Africa. Naturally resistant to all forms of biological degradation, it is the timber of choice for heavy civil engineering, port construction, railway sleepers, and bridge decking. Its high density makes it exceptionally resistant to mechanical wear and impact.

Lophira alata

Azobé — also known as Red Ironwood — is renowned for its extreme hardness and outstanding resistance to marine borers and tropical decay. It is widely used in harbour construction, lock gates, piles, and heavy-duty flooring. Its deep red-brown heartwood and interlocked grain make it one of the toughest timbers from the African continent.

Beli is a robust, hard-wearing African hardwood with excellent mechanical properties. Its fine, even texture and resistance to decay make it a reliable choice for heavy construction, bridge components, and industrial flooring. Beli is characterised by its warm brown colour with subtle interlocked grain, and it finishes well for both structural and decorative applications.
